Our Criminal Defense Lawyers

Norm Thom, Steven Katzman, and Bobby Lane Daniel (of counsel) each have more than 25 years of legal experience defending people accused of wrongdoing.

Norm Thom and Bobby Lane Daniel worked together as Colorado State Public Defenders. Norm Thom was in charge of the public defenders office for the 4th Judicial District.

In 1986 Bobby Lane Daniel and Norm Thom founded this defense firm. They were joined in 2007 by Steven Katzman, who had his own defense firm in the Denver area since 1978. Bobby Lane Daniel is now Of Counsel to the firm. Liberty Law clients have the advantage of a defense team approach, with more than one attorney working on their case. We also have associations with lawyers throughout Colorado whom we can call upon at no additional cost to our clients.

Our Experienced and Caring Staff

Jo Baker, Crista Denton, and Tina Oestreich are our valued employees.

• Jo Baker is a Colorado native and former employee of the local District Attorney's Office. She has been with Liberty Law for over 18 years.
• Crista Denton is a Certified Legal Assistant and a Colorado native. She has a B.A. in Anthropology from Colorado State University and a Paralegal Certificate from Denver Paralegal Institute. She has worked with us for more than seven years.
• Tina Oestreich has a B.A. in Criminal Justice from St. Cloud State University and a Paralegal certificate from Denver Paralegal Institute. She is originally from Wisconsin. Tina has been with the firm for more than six years.
